Christmas wreath is something very special that brings a Christmas mood to Your home.
This year our creative team made a Christmas wreath workshop trying to improvise the different kinds of the Christmas wreaths with different materials because we live in a sunny Tenerife and its kind of hard to get the spruce. And we would like to share with our DIY Christmas decoration workshop discoveries.
This handcrafted project is simple so grab the few items to make Your holiday wreath and enjoy your time by creating!
The materials you will need to prepare Your Christmas wreath:
Chicken wire, hardware cloth, or other flexible wire mesh
Cutter / scissors
Silicone hot glue
For the wreath basics, we used Thuja branches, Canary Pines which have biggest spikes ever – rap each piece around the wreath, pinning to secure and overlapping the edges in around wreath form.
For the decorating, we gathered an assortment of seasonal flora, natural pods in a variety of shapes, seasonal nuts, cinnamon sticks, very small peaces of decorative beads, and even small wooden deer figures from the florist and local shops.
Different red, gold, brown & green shades of linen, velvet and silk ribbons from special sewing shop we believe You will deffinety find one in Your living area and they will have a special Christmas collection of ribbons (even with Christmas trees, deer, snowflakes.
This small car was inprovised by the mum & her 4 years old son to decorate their special wreath.
From the forest we got pinecones, fragrant eucalyptus, and juniper, Thuja branches, Canary Pines, moss.
At home, we dried oranges, lemons & grapefruits not only for decorating in colourful details but also for a natural special Christmas smell together with cinnamon sticks.
The Christmas workshop was driven by our creative team member Goda Piktas for grownups with children with Lithuanian community Casa Lituana & with a new library borning library project Knygų namai Tenerifejė.
