DIY project for Your weekend ! Level - Easy !
You will need:
- Half a ball of Phildar Partner 3,5,
in Grenadine
Oddment of white yarn
Oddment of black yarn
3.5mm crochet hook
Toy stuffing
A yarn needle
An Embroidery needle
For the mug band:
-With pink yarn, ch 12, ch1. 1DC in each st (12 st per row) for 42 rows (20cm in length)
-At the end of the final round, do border row of DC along the edges of the rectangle. Do the final st in the back loop of the st. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
-With white yarn, ch 10. (repeat, so you have 2 lengths of 10 ch). Sew it on one of the short edges of the rectangle. These will form the button loops to stop the mug cosy coming off.
-Sew buttons onto the opposite short length.
For the head:
-Ch 14. Close with a SS. -1DC into each ch (14)
R1- 1 DC in each (14)
R2- DC2tog 7 times (7 st)
R3-R28- 1 DC in each (7 st) R29- 2DC in each st (14)
R30- (1DC, 2DC in next st)x3, 8DC (17 st)
R31-33- 17DC. Stuff the head (17st) R34- 1DC, (DC2tog x8) (9 st)
R35- 1 DC in each (9 st)
R 36- Change to white yarn. 1 DC in each (9 st)
R37- 9 DC (9 st)
R38- 1DC, (DC2tog x 4) (5 st)
R 39- Change to black yarn. (DC2tog twice), 1 DC (3 st) R40- DC2tog, 1 DC (2st) R41- DC2tog (1 st)
-Close with SS.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
-Sew on eyes using black yarn
-Sew the base of the neck to the base of the rectangle
- Sew the top of the neck (at head join) to the top of the rectangle
